Do not confuse this receiver with the current crop of winpy Surround

Receivers on the market today. The SR7002 is best suited for music.

Most current surround receivers are only equiped with 6800 uf filter                                                                                capacitors and 8 amp output transistors, the SR7002 is equiped with                                                                                       larger transformer, 18 Kuf filter capacitors and 15 amp output transistors.                                                                                     This results in better sound reproduction necessary for music. In addition

to DTS HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD discrete processing plus                                                                                           DTS Neo:6 and ProLogic II matrix it is also equiped with great sounding                                                                                           SRS Circle Surround matrix as well.
